Specializing in a goats milk soap base, Canterbury Cabin goes on to create fragrances that have won Lorrie Beach several awards.

Canterbury Cabin has won Best Use of Fragrance/Best Scent at two national conferences of the Handcrafted Soap Makers Guild: 2007 in St. Louis, MO (Rosemary Oatmeal/Ginger Citrus) and 2008 in Burlington, VT (Anise Lavender).

Chosen for this spotlight are two soaps that not only have wonderful scents, but beautiful marbling effects.

Milk & Mint goat milk soap  Canterbury cabin Milk and Mint has a blend of Spearmint and Peppermint essential oils. This should be a great wake-me-up, morning bar.

Black Amethyst – Lorrie describes this soap as ivory with black, purple and pink swirls.Pink jasmine, rose petals and lily of the valley, musk, soft sandalwood. The black swirl in this soap is crushed coconut shell Soap_BlackAmethyst Canterbury cabincharcoal. 

 

Lorrie was kind enough to email me her top selling soaps for 2009. They include wonderful scents such as Anise Lavender, Cinnamon and Cedar,, Patchouli Spice, and Milk and Mint.

Don’t you just love the name Grandma’s Home Brewed Soap? I wish I were that clever!

Janet says her Black Cherry Swirl soap is one of her best sellers. A good Black Cherry Swirl grandmas home brew indicator is that she always sells out fast. Smelling like sweet black cherries and  over 5 ounces are good reasons it sells fast. Of course, the fact Janet uses only the finest, moisturizing ingredients is another reason it is a best seller.
