A few weeks ago I wrote about molds and making your own. Be Different-Make Your Own Molds
Looking at my Twitter followers, I came across Robyns Nest Boutique. She had the cutest soap made from her own mold. What a great idea Robyn!
French Lavendar Button Soap
Robyn has her fall collection of soaps on sale and ready to go. But be sure to take a peek at her jewelry.

Skinvas is an Etsy site you need to visit. On the profile page Jude has her list of 10 Beauty tips. These are not your typical tips that you see continually with no new ideas. Jude’s tips speak directly to you ….
1. Smile with your Eyes (it’s easy to crack a smile with your lips but the eyes never lie)
2. I never leave the house without my face. Even if it’s the most minimal of makeup like mascara, eyeliner & tinted gloss. The point is to feel Pretty before you walk out the door.
There are 8 more great tips. Be sure and read them on the profile page of Skinvas
You will find some very nice items in the Cocktail Collection, The Naturals Collection and the Gourmet Bath Collection.
The Cocktail Collection sounds yummy and oh so tropical.

The Natural Collection offers this great bath tea

And, of course the Gourmet Collection

Follow Jude on her Twitter site. Be sure to visit Skinvas on Etsy.

It has been a while since I featured soaps from other countries. To me, it is extremely interesting and informative to see what others are doing.
This beautiful bar is from Prague, Czech Republic. Named the Jasmine Dragon.
From Positana, Italy, this pretty soap has a eye catching name of “Bambola”
I haven’t run across anyone doing decoupaged soaps in quite awhile. This one is from Italy and very nicely done.
This soap dish is from Portugal. Made from eco polymer. This I got to look up, as I have never heard of eco polymer. It really looks like resin. Perhaps this is another name for resin.
As always SoapyChica in the United Kingdom, is showing beautiful soaps. See the spotlight http://soapstuffdaily.com/?p=429
You can see all of these soaps and more on http://en.dawanda.com/

You probably know that I find many of the soap and craft artist spotlighted from my followers on Twitter.
This morning I came across Bubblin Bath and Crafts Forum. I recognized two of the moderators, that have been spotlighted on Soaps n Stuff Daily. One of my spotlights recently was on Natures Art from New Mexico. And in March BeachBabiesBath was featured. These two plus a lady named Kellie have started this unique forum.
This forum is a great place to go to ask a question on crafts, soapmaking, etc. or just want to vent your frustrations. Easy to join, I just did. You can go on as a visitor and read the post, but to get the full benefits and use, join. Bubblin Bath and Crafts
Ladies, congratulations on the new site and hope you have much success with it.

Caledonia Soapworks in Canada is being interviewed today by her local newspaper. Congratulations!
Beadlover08 is closing her Etsy Shop. We are sorry to see her close, but it is a good opportunity for you to save money on her wonderful products. But don’t procrastinate – she is closing 8/20/10.
Something SusanSoaps put on Twitter caught my attention and I went to her blog site to look further. As usually happens with me, I got sidetracted and read this posting she wrote on customer loyalty. Here is the link, http://susansoaps.com/blog/customer-loyalty-that-went-above-beyond/. It is well worth reading.

One of the soap artist that I follow on Twitter is Kenias Soap. I find she is in Nashville/Gordonsville, Tenn. Since I grew up in the Nashville area and my Dad’s name was Gordon, my ears pricked up. Never heard of Gordsonville and wonder just where it is in conjunction to Nashville?
Oh well, Kenia and her Etsy shop is what is interesting and worth knowing about. She has been making soaps since 2003, and is about to celebrate her first year anniversary with Etsy.

Very pretty and all natural. Check out her site and join her on Twitter.

I received this as a press release a couple of days ago.
I just wanted to let you know that with the help of many generous donors we are going to be able to donate 5,000 bars of soap to the Canadian Forces for Christmas this year. Our biggest sponsor was Voyageur Soap & Candle who took this on as their corporate sponsorship for 2010 and donated over 4,000 bars themselves. You can read all about it on our website – www.MalaspinaSoapFactory.ca
Of course I had to look both of these wonderful companies up.
Malaspina Soap Factory deserves heartfelt thanks
for taking on this project and making it such a huge success. And, it is only July!
It seems there are going to be a lot of Canadian Military men will be clean and have baby soft skin!
Voyageur Soap and Candle Co really helped this project to make its goal with the donation of 4000 bars of soap. That is a lot of soap!
It seems this company started out like all of us as a homebased business makeing candles. They have now grown into a large soap and candle supply company. Perhaps much of their success is from giving as much as they receive. Check out their site, there is more than supplies to help the soap and candle makers. Thank you Voyageur

Have a Happy Day,
Barb
