Haven’t visited Milk and Cookeez  for a while.  I decided it was time to see what they have new in their line of soaps. I knew I would not be disappointed!

I love books and buy from Amazon all the time. It is nice you have a choice of new or used. In fact, I can’t wait for the new book I have ordered on making fairies from clay!

Not enough mention is given to Dog Soaps. For a few days I am going to spotlight different hand made soaps for dogs. If you are still buying commercial dog shampoos and soaps, you definitely are not being kind to your dog. Why would you use chemicals on your pets skin, when you do not on your own? Heaven forbid if you use Dawn!

Innerearth Soaps    

This is a soap formulated just for dogs. It’s scented with a special blend of essential oils (citronella, cedarwood, geranium and lavender) to condition the coat and help repel fleas and ticks. These adorable soaps should get even the most reluctant child to take a bath.  Dawn has some wonderful soaps for all, on her Haileys DragonFly Garden site. It is nice to feature soaps for children with all natural ingredients.

Kids love the smell of dirt. Why else would they get so dirty? The Dirty Duck smells like dirt, but has the goodness of Shea Butter for their skin.

Marla Bosworth started Back Porch Soap Co. in 1998. In 12 years she has gained a lot of soap making experience. Just ending, was her Bath & Body University. A four day course that will get your new business started. Even if you are already making soaps, it never hurts to learn a little more. Marla teaches a variety of classes throughout each month from her Duxbury, Mass. studio.

Glycerine Soap fragrances are strong and pure. If fragrance  is very important to you, then you want Glycerin soaps. Also called Melt and Pour (a name I don’t like), normally have lots of good moisturizers added in.

Soaperstar Soaps have it all. Take a look at this beautiful entry for Valentines Day. Velvet Heart. This Goatsmilk and Glycerine soap has Apricot kernel oil and other skin hydrating additives. This Valentine soap has a fragrance blend of roses, Violets and White Musk. MMmmm Nice.

Smallbones has the very first soaps that I spotlighted. I thought it was time to visit again. This beautiful picture is of her studio and store. Doesn’t it look like a magical place? You can read about this delightful house on Janes website SmallBbones.

Jane only sells natural, handmade, and environmentally friendly products. Many of the items she carries are made by other crafters that also believe in saving the environment. But the soaps are handmade by Jane.

As I write this, just about the entire country is in a deep cold freeze. A nice hot bath With Enough Coffee Soap would hit the spot. It has ground French Roast coffee which gives it a wonderful aroma.

Just in time for Valentines Day is Hilary’s Think Pink. This soap will look good after Valentines Day. Pretty colors look good anytime. The soap is bursting full of cotton candy, sugary lemon drops, raspberry, caramel and vanilla notes. Blended together don’t you know that smells scrumptious?

This business name is intriguing. Lost River Rags got the name from the little town of Lost River, W. Va. where the business was born.  This Etsy business began in Dec 07.  

 Rice Flower and Shea Soap is enriched with Shea Butter and Dead Sea Clays. Poured in a “cupcake” style mold, it is an easy to hold and use bar.

 Lilac Hummingbird Goats Milk Soap is as pretty as its name. Its scent is that of freshly bloomed lilacs.

You can’t beat a good sale and Lost River Rags is having an end of the year SALE until Sun. Jan 3. Everything has been reduced!
