While waiting for new soaps or soap makers to contact me at barb@soapstuffdaily, I thought I would talk about pictures.
Having visited many of your sites, I have looked at lots of pictures. Unfortunately, I have had to pass up spotlighting many soaps and many soap makers.
Why, because of the pictures. Pictures are just as important to your sales as the ingredients and the sales description you write.
-
Cluttered backgrounds - Do your pictures have junk all around the soaps? Nothing should be in the background to detract from the soap.
-
A big problem has been blurred soaps. Make sure your pictures are sharp.
-
Too Dark Too Light – Some pictures have been so dark that I cannot correct them with my photo editor.
-
Props – They are great. Just don’t let them overpower the soap.
Take a closer look at your soaps and their pictures. Maybe one of these points mentioned is why that particular soap is not selling.
Happy Soaping!
