star fish

We went shelling today. This is the first chance since the hurricane last week. Even though the storm was way south of us, our tides ran very high. This makes for great shell looking.

We left in bright, hot sun and looked along the beaches in a pour down rain. Soaking wet with hair pastered to my head, I looked like the winner of  “The Uglest Wet T-Shirt contest”!

It was fun! Haven’t done something like that in years. And we found the best place for shells. Mostly oyster shells and that was what I was looking for. I am learning to sculp sea creatures in clay. I wanted the shells as props for my creations.

If you haven’t just acted like a kid again jumping in every puddle you see, it is a must do. Just don’t think about the car full of wet sand that has to be cleaned. But, think about the treasures you have found!

Have a Happy Day,

Barb

P.S. Didn’t find a Starfish,  but I liked this one.
